What’s your idea, project, or startup in 140 characters?

TMR Technology has built a mobile application that tracks school buses for parents and students grades K-12 using GPS tracking.

Who are you?

What’s your background? Give us a brief bio.

TMR Technology consists of a team of 6 Indiana University students. Among the team are many summers of internship experiences with companies like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Valve + Meter. Two members of the team have interned outside of the United States with companies like Slalom Consulting. There are three previous collegiate athletes among the team, two of which were Division I here at Indiana University. There are also two previous startup founders within TMR who had secured funding for their previous ventures to run them for multiple years.

This team is governed by a board of seven advisors. These advisors have worked at companies like JP Morgan, Jeffries, Merrill Lynch, and Duffy and bring years of experience to the team.

What are you looking for? A co-founder, employee, or intern? What type of compensation are you willing to offer?

TMR Technology is currently looking for interns / independent contractors to help sell our school bus tracking service. We are offering a commission package to anyone interested in joining the TMR team. We already have individuals using this package and they are seeing great results.

If you are interested please send an email to info@tmrtechnology.com with your name, email address, and resume.

What’s the current status of the idea, project, or startup?

TMR Technology has its Track My Route application running live on the Apple Store as well as Google Play. Currently, TMR Technology is taking on additional seed funding to improve the infrastructure of the company needed to acquire more districts and invest into the Track My Route application further.

Do you have sign-ups, traction, or revenue? What milestones have you hit?

Overall, we are currently in communication with over 60 districts in 6 states. TMR has built strategic relationships with nearly a dozen companies to help secure this pipeline. We have a strategic relationship with the largest family owned school bus company in the country, ranked 6th in size overall. On top of this, we have partnered with a leading innovator in RFID chip solutions to create a one-stop tracking and safety solution for school districts. Together we are going to be launching a brand new safety package never before seen by the market. We also have legal and marketing support by firms who are supporting the team to help push these sales.

During the Summer of 2018 TMR ran a pilot to test our application with a special needs co-op of 15 school districts and they were so pleased with the pilot program they implemented the full Track My Route service for the 2018-2019 school year. We are currently working with them to implement the service and get their parent’s using and paying for the app.

How long have you been working on this idea, startup, or project? How much time are you currently spending on this idea, project, or startup?

The idea for TMR Technology was created a little over a year and a half ago, however the company was filed as an LLC this past April. The majority of the team lives together on campus where they turned their house into a homemade incubator to help run TMR. Meetings with partners, clients, and third parties are frequent throughout the week which requires a lot of time from the team. We see the potential that TMR Technology has and we want to ensure the work is put in to reach that potential. One team member has already gone full-time and the rest are part-time because of school and internships.
